Creativity, Technology and Budget. Combine those three things (with a heap of gumption) and you have yourself a film!
This blog aims to share the technology that Tributaries Digital Cinema uses to create our work. From servers, to cameras, to lenses, to pelican cases, to software - this blog hopes to dive deeply into what we've found over our 10+ years running cameras around the world.

This blog also exists for a couple other reasons.
YouTuber "cinematographers" are the worst. Their job is to review cameras not create a mountain biking segment seen by millions in under 2 hours while moving on with the rest of the day (interviews, candids, scenics), for example. This is a tiny space for working filmmakers.
Some of this content will repeat or get merged into our main company blog, this is a place where geeking is encouraged without boring potential clients on our main site.
Our bread and butter has historically been fly fishing, very niche-y, and it's probably time to share some of the tech knowledge we've accrued since we started.
Last, we don't see the filmmaking community on Bluesky or ATProto, this is an attempt to change that.
So, please subscribe to this blog, or subscribe to our companies newsletter, or hit us up on Bluesky and follow along. Thanks to @leaflet.pub for creating a great space to do this. Cheers.
